Laura Linney was one of the most renowned American actors of recent times. Her savacious and flimsy roles has made her a household name. When she was a child, spending summers in the home of her father her interest grew for the stage. After studying at Brown University for a while before transferring to Juilliard School to study acting. Beginning her career at the Broadway soon after graduation, she appeared in film within two years, and then on television within a year. Since then she has appeared in a variety of film, TV and stage plays. Through her entire career, she's won numerous awards. These includes 2 Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. But despite the many nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for the theatre isn't gone, and she still performs in the stage and on screen.
