April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in seventh grade. This sparked the interest of her. At the age of seven, April began taking piano and guitar lessons. It sparked her interest to write songs. She spent lots of time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. Then, she began taking trips in NY and LA with her Dad so that they could both compose songs. April also began incorporating other relevant topics into the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart has her own fan base and is an online lifestyle blogger for the well-known Ilia clean beauty brand. Her disability is a part of her personality, but it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore her disability. However, it doesn't insist on her disability. The point? This is the message that we all share multiple identities and are more complex than we think we are. Lockhart said via video that she didn't want to be defined by her disability. She doesn't wish to become a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I go about things normally, and I've discovered my own way to adjust the things. The same is true for my life, and I think it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime however Lockhart is an absolute inspiration on that front. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her physique and being uncomfortable in certain clothes which exposed her arms. She can wear whatever she'd like, and happily shares pictures of her wearing these clothes. Self-love for her was a long process. The same is true for everybody regardless of their level of insecurity. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and understand your situation. They'll be the ones asking what you worry about?
