Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she has the record of being given 10/10 points in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. First competing in the championships for juniors from Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. In 1970, she won. Her first ever international contest in 1972, she came out on top by winning three gold awards. In her debut as a senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champion, winning four golds and one argent. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she started appearing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol's first job was in entertainment during her teenage year. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. The shows were skaters who were accompanied by theatrical music.
