Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. By the time she was nine years old, the family of Decker lived in Louisiana which was where she took home a regional talent contest with a cover of Patsy Montana's "I Would Like to Be the Sweetheart of a Cowboy. The family of Decker moved out of Louisiana and into Georgia in the summer of 1995. After she began writing frequently, she travelled to Nashville as well as visited music studios as well as record labels in hopes of finding a contract.
