Richard B. Cheney, prominent public servant and businessman, is vice president. Cheney known as a popular figure in Washington politics, worked with four presidents of the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush appointed Cheney as his vice-presidential candidate in 2000, due to the shrewdness and wisdom of Cheney. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of a President, he served in Congress and was Secretary of Defense. It's clear that he is a true gentleman and has earned the respect of all Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney has said that he regards his job as a trustworthy and discreet adviser to Bush's administration. Cheney is adamant in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president he wants to serve with a presidential candidate who is willing to cooperate cross-partisanally and in a manner of respect and in a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he relocated with his family into Casper in the western part of Wyoming, where his father directed the local soil conservation district to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
